Granville Corn Maze
I grew up on my family’s farm, living next door to my grandparents who lived in the old farmhouse where my father was raised. Even as young as 7-years-old, I was helping with tobacco operations, driving our old Farmall tractor down the rows or packing the tobacco in our “pack house.” My father decided to stop growing tobacco and switch to a much healthier product – milk! When he switched to dairy farming full-time, I helped milk cows, feed animals, get up hay bales, drive silage wagons or whatever else was needed.
As an adult, I moved away to pursue my lifelong creative passion of illustration and animation – a pursuit that led to my being published in MAD Magazine and producing animated content for ESPN.com and FOX Sports.com. But my heart never left the farm, and I returned to raise a family and start our first-ever agritourism venture.
In October of 2015, we launched “Granville Haunt Farm,” a nighttime event featuring a Zombie Paintball Hayride, Haunted Trail and Corn Maze. In the daytime, the farm became “Granville Corn Maze,” a daytime corn maze for kids of all ages. The event was a resounding success, bringing in families from all over the Southeast.
We’re excited as we enter our fifth year and hope to see you here!
